You may be wondering how you will be able to eat healthy meals when you absolutely love all those decadent desserts or cheese topped baked potatoes and other such fare that is not considered to be part of a healthy diet. However, by planning ahead, you can enjoy smaller amounts of those dishes by including the healthier steamed vegetables and salads along with them. Using a vegetarian diet plan for some of the meals leading up to that special dinner or during the week after can ensure that you will eat a very healthy diet over the two-week period. That is why it is extremely valuable to write out some healthy meal plans now, when you can see the whole period of time, rather than waiting until the last-minute. At that point you will be looking at day by day decisions for your meals if not meal by meal decisions. You will not be able to see the big picture.
There are many factors involved in dieting and many books written. You need to plan your diet. If you take the time to plan you stand a better chance of success than if you make meals in a chaotic way. Planning for special meals and rewarding yourself and setting goals are all part of the planning process. This process may take a couple of weeks to formalize but do not wait to start losing weight. Start with walking and becoming more active. Cut back on foods you know to be bad such as sugar loaded soda and fruit drinks. Stop eating snacks and substitute them with fruit and veggie trays. These are all things you can do to start until you get a plan in place.

Figure out the amount of calories you take daily and try to reduce that to manageable levels by choosing low calorie food. There are several types of foods that are very healthy and low in calories. On top of that, you also need plenty of fruits and vegetables on a daily basis as part of your meal plan.
When boredom sets in you will have a couple of choices. You can quit the meal and gain the weight back and try over again or plan a diet change. Pick a time maybe three months or six months and plan on changing the diet. You can pre-plan this change and at the beginning if you found two diets you liked plan on switching and benefit from a different type and different set of guidelines. By changing your diet and planning for the change you have something to look forward to and now after a time you can either go back to the original diet or stay on the current diet depending on which works better and which one you like. Do not think you cannot change diets because the only thing that really matters is you losing the fat.
