I wanted to live off-campus (Mississippi College) during my senior year, and it was worlds better than living in the dorm. The community is similar to a nursing home community, but that makes it very quiet. Some apartments have better appliances than others, and we had the updated ones. Still, the appliances quickly get messy. The washer and dryer is in the kitchen and looks ugly and takes up space. Closet space is limited. The apartment is located right by a train track, but the train doesn't blow its horn. It was nice for an apartment in Mississippi, but it was a little overpriced. At the time, I paid $675 per month for rent and on average $80-110 for utilities. Water is covered by the apartment. There is no pool or gym or any amenities other than the water coverage. Depending on which complex you live in, your apartment may not get much sunlight, even in the prime time of the day. Bottom line: if you need to get out of the dorms, and you have a roommate to help you with rent, it is perfect. If you are by yourself, it is overpriced. Oh, and there is no official office or lobby.
