The following was an email written back to us because over labor day weekend this year our a/c went out. It was a hot and humid weekend (you can check at weather.com). We had to get a motel room since we did not get any sleep Sunday night when we stayed in our apartment home, it was so hot and muggy. We requested that maybe the management could even meet us half way for the 3 nights we had to stay in the motel. Maintenance came out on Sunday night and stated that the compressor seemed shot and the unit would have to be replaced. He stated that since Labor Day is tomorrow, that he would order it on Tuesday and probably not get until Wednesday. When I went back to apt. on Wednesday and seen nothing was done, I called the office. David is the maintenance man and he came out Wednesday, right after lunchtime. He replaced a part that he stated he had all along. In his words, "let's try this first". Well, "this" only worked for a few days and on Saturday he was called back. A/C out again. I guess on Saturday he tried "that". Nice to know that they will experiment on your a/c, trying this and that to see if it works. K and P, Sorry I was unable to get back to you sooner, I had an emergency and have been out of the office. I have read through both of the emails and while I do understand where you are coming from I must also let you know that we will not be reimbursing you for your hotel stay. As stated in you lease on pg 4, paragraph 26, Air conditioning problems are not emergencies. If air conditioning or other equipment malfunctions, you must notify our representative as soon as possible on a business day. We'll act with customary diligence to make repairs and reconnections. Rent will not abate in whole or in part. I know that it was very hot that weekend Thank you, Also, there was 3 fires in 3 months by 3 different residents. 2 of these fires were within a week of each other. We live in the same bldg that these fires were in and I will tell you that we dodged a bullet and got lucky 3 times now! What's the odds of 3 fires in the same bldg, much less than the same complex. So, really nice, peaceful living here! We have lived here since Jan. 2011, when you read the other postings, notice that people tend to post right away after they move in. Anyway, bottom line is that anyone can paint a pile of dog droppings and landscape it and make it pretty, however, underneath the paint and glitter it is still dog droppings.
